ManTech Publications – Editorial Guidelines

At ManTech Publications, we are committed to ensuring the highest standards of quality and integrity in all of our publications. Our editorial process is designed to promote clarity, accuracy, and relevance, making sure that every paper we publish upholds the best practices in academic research. Below are our editorial guidelines:

Originality and Relevance: Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and should not be under review elsewhere. We accept submissions that present novel insights or advancements in research, contributing to the growth of the field.

Plagiarism Policy: Manuscripts submitted to ManTech Publications are reviewed for plagiarism. We employ rigorous checks, and any paper found with significant overlap with previously published material will be rejected.

Peer Review Process: All submitted manuscripts undergo a thorough peer review process. Manuscripts will be reviewed by at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the field. Their feedback ensures the validity, relevance, and quality of the research.

Ethical Standards: Authors are required to follow ethical guidelines, ensuring honesty and transparency in data collection, analysis, and reporting. Any potential conflict of interest must be disclosed.

Authorship and Contribution: Only those who have significantly contributed to the research should be listed as authors. A clear description of each author’s role in the work should be provided to ensure accountability.

Data Accuracy and Transparency: Authors must ensure that the data presented in their paper is accurate and reliable. Any supporting data should be made available for verification by reviewers and readers, as necessary.

Manuscript Structure: Manuscripts should be written in clear, concise language. A logical structure with sections including Title Page, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Methodology, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, and References is expected.

Abstract and Keywords: The abstract should provide a concise summary of the research, including its purpose, methodology, key findings, and implications, typically within 150-250 words. Keywords (3-5) should be selected to help in identifying the key themes of the paper.

References: All references cited in the manuscript should be relevant to the study and should follow a consistent referencing format. Only works that have been directly cited in the manuscript should be listed in the reference section.

Confidentiality: The review process is confidential. Reviewers, editors, and staff members must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, and editors involved in the review process.

Timeliness: Authors are expected to submit their manuscripts on time. Any delays in submission should be communicated to the editorial office in advance to avoid unnecessary backlogs.

Revisions and Feedback: After peer review, manuscripts may require revisions. Authors are expected to respond to reviewer comments promptly and make necessary amendments to enhance the quality of their work.

Manuscript Formatting: Authors should follow ManTech’s formatting guidelines for the preparation of manuscripts, including font size, spacing, and figure/table placements. Detailed formatting guidelines can be found on our submission page.

Rejection Policy: Papers that do not meet our editorial standards, or that fall outside the scope of the journal, will be rejected. Rejections are based on the editorial team’s assessment or recommendations from the peer reviewers.

Post-Publication Policies: After acceptance, authors must sign a copyright agreement granting ManTech Publications the rights to their work. If errors are discovered post-publication, authors are expected to work with the editorial team to correct or retract their paper as needed.

Engagement with the Community: ManTech encourages authors to engage with the wider academic community by promoting their research through presentations, conferences, and social media, ensuring their work has a broader impact.
